Good reason not to go to the immigrant visa appointment in Cd. Juarez until they get their poo poo together
Last March, the CIS office in Juarez announced that waiver applicants
could schedule appointments to file their I-601's through Infopass. At
first, this was great because we were getting appointments for the day
after the IV interview rather than 2-3 weeks later as before the change
(not to mention approvals the day of filing instead of a year later).
But little by little it's become more common to get a "no appointments
available" message when trying to book through Infopass. My assistant
and I resorted to trying well outside of normal business hours (early
AM, late PM, weekends) but lately even that has failed.

Today, for the first time since March 2007, I met client go to an IV
interview w/o a follow-up appointment to file her I-601. I expected
the consular personnel to give her an appointment 2-3 weeks out but
instead they told her she's got to go through Infopass on her own.

So until they get their shit together over in Cd. Juarez I will continue to not
send clients to Cd. Juarez unless they are exempt from the bar or the bar does not apply to them.
