> AILA/Texas Service Center Liaison Discusses I-140 Rejections
AILA members attempting to timely file I-140s with requests
for substitutions and amendments are reporting the improvident
rejection due to a lack of an original labor certification, although
the USCIS already has the original labor certification. TSC
recommends that applicants double bag the packet and indicate on the
inner bag “DO NOT OPEN IN THE MAIL ROOM”, “ATTN: MORRIS WHITACRE.”
TSC asks that a copy of the rejection notice be included with the
resubmission so that they can track and resolve the problem. Members
are reminded to include proof of timely original filing of I-140
labor certification substitution requests where applicable.
